Its colour and the nuances that fleck the stone recall the rusted hue of iron and its attractive natural aged look. This is why, in kitchens with a retro touch, the vintage version of the material (a rough surface effect obtained over time) looks fabulous when paired with floors or walls with a rustic air. To reinforce and boost the contrast, this irregular texture of the floor or walls can be combined with the other possible finish of this countertop, a mirror polish.
